Why are we doing this…

A recent community survey showed our residents top concern are the roads.

Not only does the Pueblo West Public Works Department provide personnel, materials, equipment to maintain over 400 miles of roads, they also are in charge of the design and inspection of public improvements (trails, drainage, signals, etc.), multi-agency project coordination (CDOT, County, City, etc.), oversight of right of way permits for excavation and access, grant management (application, bidding, construction, inspections, reporting, etc.), and the management of EPA storm-water permits.

Fund Use

The increase of funds generated will be earmarked and reported in addition to the regular budget, directed exclusively to roads .

Who’s Paying

Non-residents and other types of visitors pay their fair share for road use.
